https://www.pojo.com/chronomaly-vimana-yu-gi-oh-review/
Rating: 3.92 Rating: 3.92 Ratings are based on a 1 to 5 scale. 1 is awful. 3 is average. 5 is excellent. Reviews Below: King of Lullaby Hello Pojo Fans, Chronomaly Vimana is one of the newest Chronomaly cards for the archetype and wraps up our week. Generic materials like Machu Mech yesterday, this resembles an armored version of that card in my opinion. Raises ATK of a monster by half of an Xyz or Chronomaly monster in your grave for the turn and then gets that grave monster attached to itself, netting you another detachable material. Quick Effect makes this something you can use in the Damage Step either turn, elevating its usefulness. Chronomaly finally get negation power, but it costs 2 materials, only negates monster effects, and only negates. This is a -1 for you: negation is a plus, detached material evens things out, but the monster negated lives, making it a negative. 2300ATK is weak for a Rank 5, and while you can raise this card’s ATK, you’d like to see the negation power be better. This is a monster to bring out once you get your graveyard filled with a few monsters. You can have four monsters attached on this easily, but you’d better hope the negate but not destroy effect pays off. The negation effect has to be used wisely. The ATK boost not needing another Chronomaly on the field to help it makes this Rank 5 the optimal choice for the archetype. Multiple negations are possible, but without the destruction to follow it feels unfinished. Should’ve been a negation for any card effect if they weren’t going to include destruction/banish. Or they could’ve added an ATK boost for the turn or half the targeted monster’s ATK. Advanced-3.5/5 Art-4/5 Until Next Time KingofLullaby Crunch$G Chronomaly Week ends off with the new Rank 5 for the archetype that does more than a gimmick OTK: Chronomaly Vimana. Vimana is a Rank 5 LIGHT Machine Xyz with 2300 ATK and 2600 DEF. An improvement in stats, mainly for DEF, and the LIGHT/Machine combo we like. Once again, generic Rank 5 that just needs any 2 Level 5s. You get a once per turn Quick Effect to target a face-up monster on the field and any Xyz Monster or Chronomaly monster in your graveyard to buff the targeted monster’s ATK by half the ATK of the monster selected in grave, then you can attach said monster to this card as material. Nice way to buff your monsters while also regenerating materials for this card. You could buff an opponent’s monster if you want to try and trigger Machu Mech, but you rather be doing that by weakening an opponent’s monster rather than buffing it, but it could potentially lead to you running over an even bigger monster instead. Second effect is another Quick Effect with a soft once per turn when an opponent activates a monster effect, letting you detach 2 materials from this card to negate the activation. Free negation on a generic Rank 5 is great, I can understand 2 materials cause they want this to be more costly for anything not Chronomaly related considering those Decks would be limited to regenerating materials by targeting used up Xyz Monsters. It’s better in a dedicated Chronomaly strategy since you’ll be full of cards to put under this as material to keep negating monster effects. No hard once per turns on something like this is outstanding as well. The card overall helps Chronomaly put something on field that’s better to have on the opponent’s turn besides Chateau Huyuk. You play this in Chronomaly and potentially any Deck that can make Rank 5s as well just to get a free negate at the very least. Advanced Rating: 4/5 Art: 4.5/5 Giant floating rock in the sky 2. Alex Searcy Chronomaly Vimana close the week (again, as one may have guessed, gold stars for the readers paying attention) also Rank 5, still Light/Machine, who also needs two generic Level 5s for its XYZ Summon. 2300/2600 atk/def is fine enough I suppose. A Quick Effect lets you (once per Turn) Target a face-up Monster to have it’s attacked increased by half of a Theme or XYZ Monster in your Graveyard. This, of course, made so SO much better by being Quick, but I don’t like that said Effect only lasts for the Turn. But it’s a nice pump up, even temporarily, and certainly helpful. Honestly, I think the better part is the fact that it transfers the Monster you chose as new Material, all while remembering that this guy doesn’t have to detach Material to do anything with its first Effect. I’m going to call that a win. And it becomes a bigger win, seeing that you have to discard TWO Material (although this Effect is also Quick) to negate the Effect of an opponent’s Effect Monster. It’s pricier than it needs to be, but if you’re cycling Material back to this card, it becomes less painful. This Effect, also, is once per Turn. Fun card, easier to use than yesterday, and does more, faster…not much to dislike here. Rating: 4.25/5 Art: Vimana are mythological floating/flying castles, palaces, chariots (etc) and given this exact pic is on google, I’d say they did well. This is very pretty, almost in an eerie way. 5/5 We would love more volunteers to help us with our YuGiOh Card of the Day reviews. If you want to share your ideas on cards with other fans, . Rating: 3.42 Rating: 3.42 Ratings are based on a 1 to 5 scale. 1 is awful. 3 is average. 5 is excellent. Reviews Below: King of Lullaby Hello Pojo Fans, Chronomaly Esperanza Glpyh is an offensive trap that makes sure you have a monster on the field. Only usable in the Main Phase, only needing an Xyz Monster on the field or the grave to Special summon two Chronomaly monsters from the deck or grave. Doesn’t matter that the Levels have to be 1 Level higher than the Rank, doesn’t matter that it’s in the Main Phase, doesn’t matter that their effects are negated, because you are immediately getting an Xyz Summon and that monster’s effect(s) will be online. Chronomaly Xyz Summon, that is what they do, so they will have an Xyz available for you to target. The highest Level a Main Deck Chronomaly monster has is 6, so that would limit you to an Xyz 5 monster. This card will be used almost in its entirety to Xyz Summon either of your two Rank 5’s or your Rank 6. To get to your Rank 5’s you’ll have to have a Rank 4 in your grave, and Chronomaly only run one within the archetype so one or two will have to be teched in to use this to get to your Rank 5. A cost-free way to thin the deck and get an Xyz Summon during either Main Phase makes this a great card for the archetype. Easy restrictions to work within and gets you to monsters you can always cycle back later. Advanced-3/5 Art-3/5 Until Next Time KingofLullaby Crunch$G From Spell to Trap we get another way to help summon your Chronomaly Xyzs: Chronomaly Esperanza Glyph. Esperanza Glyph is a Normal Trap that can only be used during the Main Phase, where you can then target any Xyz Monster you control or in your graveyard to Sepcial Summon 2 Chronomaly monsters from hand, Deck, or graveyard that are 1 Level higher than the monster’s Rank with their effects negated, then you immediately Xyz Summon a Chronomaly Xyz using the monsters you just summoned as material. Nice way to try and fill the board with more Chronomaly Xyzs. It could pull off the Machu Mech OTK by targeting a Chateau Huyuk you control that can still use its effect, but being a Trap makes you have to wait a turn. Would of been better as a Quick-Play Spell, but I guess we don’t want the Machu Mech OTK being everywhere. Targeting a Rank 3 in Chronomaly like Chronomaly Crystal Chrononaut or Gorgonic Guardian only gets you to Number 36, so you’d rather make a Rank 4 to go into Rank 5 and get the new boss monster. It could at least also target a Rank 5 to get you to Number 6, but the archetype only has 1 Level 6 monster that isn’t worth the effort to use. Hard once per turn on this card, no Xyz Spam. Either way, I’d still say it’s a good card to play. It helps the Deck get more of their Xyzs out since they average on 1 Xyz a turn usually without a really good hand. Searchable helps as well. Advanced Rating: 3.5/5 Art: 4.25/5 Don’t think you can summon Golden Jet and Moai off this, Konami. Weird choices for cards to feature. Alex Searcy From Magic to Trap, here is Chronomaly Esperanza Glyph. This is a Normal Trap, allowing the player to Target an XYZ Monster of their Control or in your Grave (we always appreciate options) and Special Summon 2 Chronomalies (rolling with that spelling) that are a Level higher than your Target. Effects are negated, but that’s irrelevant, as they’re immediately XYZ Summoned into a Theme Monster upon Effect resolution of this. You are only allowed to use those two Monsters in your XYZ Summon, and you can only use one of these a Turn. Which makes sense, otherwise, you could just as easily drop 3 XYZ all in one turn just off the three cards. Anyway, this ends up being a breakeven, that can turn into more. You get two Monsters off one card, but are left with one, and still having to activate this. But it’s still a nice way to break out of your Extra Deck with just one card. This card, like Monday, can get better as well, if the card pool continues to grow. Rating: 3.75/5 Art: Esperanza means hope, so that makes this Chronomaly Hope Glyph. I have no idea how much, if anything, on that glyph has to do with hope, but I like what I see here well enough. 3.5/5 We would love more volunteers to help us with our YuGiOh Card of the Day reviews. Aug 31, 2021 . This would of been nice back when the Dragon Rulers were legal instead of just one of them being limited, instead we don’t have many Rank 7 strategies that use a ton of Dragons. 2 materials for a pop is also costly, 1 would of been fair even if we had to exchange a soft once per turn to a hard once per turn.
