WEBFeb 24, 2022 · By targeting splicing enhancer and regulating the inclusion of exon 23, ASO-mediated treatment increases the expression of the STAT3β isoform (Figure 5), which lacks the C-terminal transactivation domain, causing cell-cycle arrest and apoptosis of cancer cells. In xenograft breast cancer models, upregulation of STAT3β causes tumor regression.
