Crosslinking mechanisms - European Coatings Journal
crosslinking systems. Aqueous urethane and urethane acrylate dispersions are well known binder systems for a broad range of coating applications. The chemical structure of a urethane, resulting in a high level of hydrogen bonding, is responsible for hardness, abrasion and chemical resistance, already at molecular weights as low as 50,000g/mole.
